Annual student talent show scheduled

Every year, AAHS hosts a student talent show to let students have the opportunity to show their talents on stage in front of an audience.

Auditions for this year’s talent show are Thur., Apr. 6 right after school in the high school auditorium. Students can sign up for auditions by seeing any music teachers or  physical education teacher Julie Schmoke.

Students will be given forms to fill out and can be returned to any of the teachers before the auditions.

“We look to see if students are prepared, school appropriate, and that they are taking it seriously,” music teacher Kelly Detwiler said.

In prior years, many talents have been shown. There have been students playing the violin, the drums, even garbage cans as drums. There has also been rock bands, dancing and singing talents.

The teachers look forward to working with the students and seeing their performances during the talent show.

“I love working with the other teachers, students and having [talent show emcee] Mr. Baker make fun of Mr. Detwiler throughout the entire show,” Schmoke said.
